how to diabetes prevention

Or the other way about really comfy and realising you’ve forgot to take your background and youve left it in the livingroom! Unfortunately all too many times i decided to wait till the mandatory toliet trip and trip to the kitchen to get a drink of water grabbing insulin and tester as i walked back to bed! I’ve been told im getting an insulin pump within a year! So if i time it right I’ll never go to bed insulin-free again! Woohoo, This is why I have a spare monitor in my bedside drawer and a tub of haribo under the bed… too many times I had to go downstairs to get sweets and then accidentally eat the entire kitchen contents.
There are carbs in cream and avocado about 10g in 100g of both, also your liver can dump glucose into your blood if it feels you need it. That’s probably why your blood sugar level rises, Grill all your food with no oil and no fat I am on 5 injections a day and I got no problem and eat broccoli and cauliflower and mushroom but I put no butter add garlic a bit of oil squess a bit of lemon a let cook till water soak a bit add a bit of black pepper and salt, Mines up and down all the time sometimes I think it’l be lower when iv eaten certain things and then it’s gone up. And when iv eaten other things that might of raised it, it’s gone down. Can’t get my head round it, Stress can have a bigger effect than diet, inevitable when I am high it’s because of stress,  Anything with any carbs in sends my blood sugars way way high. So depressing, Not Port Chops for breakfast have 2 boiled eggs instead which is better and more healthy, That’s not high for me I’m always at 36 when I take my blood can’t get it down,  I have pork chops once a week fried in butter with fat left on then i fry mushrooms in the same pan.
Pork chops for breakfast and lunch, did you cut all the fat off them and how did you cook them, Have suffered with these quite badly in the past : seizures, heart racing, cold sweats, waking covered in blood as have bitten tongue or inside of cheek, or waking black & blue with bruises at the bottom of the stairs because must have woken during and been disorientated so took a walk about and fell down etc …. quite scary if live alone as you worry that the next time you might not wake at all, do my 24 hour insulin before bed, and it made me go low during the night. I had seizures, and now I make sure I eat a few portions of carbs before I go to bed,  Cheese, pork scratching, nuts, cold meat, eggs all good options. One I havent tried for a while is frozen berries in a blender with full fat yogurt. Eaten immediately like frozen yogurt or ice cream, celery and full fat Philadephia. Hard boiled eggs and mayo. Ham slices with philadelphia rolled up. Chicken and mayo to dip it in. Cheese chunks with a teeny bit of Branston just for flavour.
I made some linseed/flaxseed crackers today to have as a snack. they are really nice. just mix 1 cup of ground linseed or flax with bit of water to make it stick together, sprinkle of salt, put in half tsp of garlic powder and half a tsp of onion power – mix all together and then pop in oven on 200 degrees on parchment paper for about 20 mins. you wouldn’t believe they are healthy, Good to see celery with peanut butter. One piece is usually enough as you really have to chew it lol,  Is that pieces of hard cheese?…i like ham egg beetroot and cheese and niw through WW muffin with a little butter and smidgen of marmite…oh yes,  I’ve helped out as a Leader on many Diabetes UK children’s holidays. Imagine 1/2 filling a TGI Fridays with Type 1 Diabetic kids.. they all get their testers & insulin pens/pumps out at the same time at the table… it’s a sight!
We help them to realise that there is no need to feel self conscious or to hide something that is a medical necessity. People can look away if they chose too, I’ve had diabetes type one for 33 years and I do blood test and injections in public and I don’t care what other people think they don’t have to live with it do they so I say you want to do your medication do, That’s because most ppl tend to do things in private. A bit like the breastfeeding post I seen. Why wdnt you be discreet, why would you want the whole world knowing your business? Apart from anything else it saves folk staring and you having to constantly explain yourself .deliberately check my sugar levels in public when ever possible, and not one person has ever asked me about it, I am type 2 , also I have never seen anyone else do it!
Been to Drs recently has having an episode of all these symptoms – in my face! Hands/feet perfectly ok, anyone else experienced this as my GP is telling me it’s related to my diabetes,  had nerve pain for 18 months in my left ear. At the time I was dieting and ate a low fat diet. For the last 3 months I gave up dieting and starting eating nuts and seeds and when I have yogurt and cheese have full fat versions my nerve pain has disappeared, have problems with my hands, being a hairdresser means that after a busy day my hands will keep me awake at night. I’ve been having acupuncture for 2 years now, every 6 weeks, it hasn’t stopped it altogether but it has helped,  I’ve got this in both my feet but more pain in left leg that right.i have a couple of times lost my balance is this related to the peripheral neuropathy?
